Welcome to the heart of the Lovely Life Library.
Every book I write is deeply personal and many are born from my own lived experiences.
My mission is to ensure every child sees themselves as the hero of their own story.
Here is the meaning behind the pages.
Inspiration Behind the Stories
Leo, the Lion Who Taught Me
Inspired by a lifetime of love for animal companions, this book is a heartwarming tribute to two incredibly special animals: my childhood cat and my current cat, Leo.
It explores the powerful, quiet bonds that teach us unconditional love, reminding little readers that some of our greatest lessons in emotional strength and resilience come from our fluffiest friends.
Rising with Dyslexia
This book is a piece of my life in my own words.
Having grown up with dyslexia, I wanted to create an honest reflection of that journey—even going so far as to include my actual journal entries from elementary school all the way through the start of college.
It was crafted to destigmatize learning differences, transforming them from a frustrating obstacle into a journey of unique strengths and self-advocacy.
The Waves of Anxiety & Learning How to Swim
My goal started with wanting to write a book about my journey with anxiety in a similar way that I had done with dyslexia but every time I went to write it, I felt negative about the experience and what I was writing.
So, I instead channeled the strength I gained from my anxiety and that was learning how to swim through the waves.
This book is an exercise to calm anxiety and learn to swim with it rather than fight against it.
The Nervous Butterfly - Flight of Heart
The making of this story was less of an inspiration and more of a lifeline.
I wrote this story about a butterfly who can't fly —while I was in the process of being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.
At a time when I faced new limitations and I had to reinvent how I did almost everything, this book became my creative outlet. Just like the butterfly fairy in the story, it's about discovering entirely new ways to soar.
